Regional District of North Okanagan:
Dog control services are provided through the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) in the City of Vernon, District of Coldstream, Village of Lumby, Electoral Areas B and C and that part of Electoral Area D in the Lumby and District Fire Protection Area.
Love ’em and Leash ’em – It’s the Law
The RDNO’s Dog Control bylaw was recently updated and now requires owners to carry doggy bags with them and to leash their dogs whenever they are not on their property, in their homes, or in an off-leash designated park or area. This applies to Vernon, Coldstream, Lumby, and Electoral areas B & C.

Township of Spallumcheen:
Dog and large animal control services are provided through the Township of Spallumcheen.
- Dog licensing is voluntary.
