Why are there Dog Control bylaws?
Respecting the rights of your neighbours and ensuring that your dog is not causing problems or bad feelings in the neighbourhood is an important aspect of community living. Bad neighbours and bad dogs can make living in a community very unpleasant. Aggressive, barking and roaming dogs can cause tempers to flare. For this reason, many communities have adopted dog control bylaws to regulate the keeping of dogs.
